Explore 22 original POW huts, with immersive displays to discover the sights, sounds and even the smell of what like was like on the Home Front and Front Line during the Second World War. Each hut covers aspects such as The Blitz, Rationing, the Home Guard, and more. Eden Camp Museum offers a unique insight into the challenges and triumphs of wartime Britain. This once prisoner of war camp of 33 huts original built in 1943 to house the first wave of Italian Prisoners of the war. The camp was also home to Polish forces amassed in the North Yorkshire area in preparation for the invasion of Europe. Mid 1944 home for German prisoners of the war. Following the war, the early 50’s sees Eden Camp life as an agricultural holiday camp and a school holiday resort
