Two-night half board in a superior 4-star country house hotel, all visit entries, Tour of the hotel garden, afternoon tea

Day 1: Friday
Following our pick ups we head south, with a mid-morning comfort stop at Roxton Garden centre enroute to Surrey and RHS Wisley. The flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society and one of the worlds great gardens, packed with endless horticultural inspiration. Enjoy Lunch in the Terrace Restaurant or Wisley Café before spending the afternoon exploring the wonderful gardens, including, RHS Hilltop home of gardening science, The Old Laboratory, The Glasshouse, The Wellbeing, World Food, Wildlife, Exotic, Rock, Back to Nature, Walled and rose Gardens, The Garden Centre, Seven Acres, Glasshouse Borders and Landscape, Clear Lake, Jellicoe Canal, Battleston Hill, Oakwood, Jubilee Arboretum, Wisteria Walk and much more.

 

We depart the gardens and take a short drive to our Hotel in Dorking, The wonderful Wooten House Country Estate Hotel. Former home to botanist and arboriculture expert John Evelyn.

 

Day 2: Saturday
After a leisurely Sunday morning breakfast, head to the Royal Hampton Court Palace, Home of Henry VIII. Cardinal Wolsey’s Tudor Palace. Experience the public dramas and private lives of Henry VIII, his wives and children in the world of the Tudor Court. Admire Henry’s Great Hall and Tudor Kitchens. Discover the spectacular baroque palace built for William III and Mary II and explore the world famous 60 acres of magnificent formal gardens and 750 acres of parkland set within a loop of the river Thames. Enjoy the Kitchen and Privy gardens. We depart mid-afternoon and make our return to the hotel. Where we enjoy a tour of the hotel garden followed by afternoon tea served in the garden.

 

Day 3: Sunday
A free morning to explore the hotel, its gardens and country park. Make use of the swimming pool or just relax and enjoy the comfort and pleasant surroundings. 


We check out and depart the hotel late morning and head to Royal Windsor. A minimum two hours here to enjoy the quaint little town, shops and eateries, as well as a close-up view of the castle. We depart Windsor Midafternoon and return back in Lincolnshire early evening and begin our drop offs.
