Day 1.
Following our pick-ups we head to the Yorkshire Town of Holmfirth, home to the TV series Last of The Summer Wine. We stop here for morning coffee and a chance to explore some of the famous scenes from the world’s longest running Sitcom Nora Batties House, Sid’s café and Compo’s former home, now the Last of The Summer Wine Exhibition. Ideal to take an early lunch in the town before we head onwards to Grassington, which doubles up as the setting of the fictional town of Darrowby for the remake of All Creatures Great and small. Located in the beating heart of the Yorkshire Dales. With plenty of photo opportunity of this picturesque small market town that feels like a village. A bustling cobbled market square fringed by shops offering practical essentials to totally tempting luxuries. Art galleries, crafts and open studios. Friendly cafes and restaurants all set against a backdrop of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.


We check into our hotel late afternoon. The 4-star Crowne Plaza in Leeds, and one of our favourite hotels. 


Dinner is included. As well as use of the swimming pool and gym facilities. The hotel is located just a short walk from Leeds city centre for anyone looking for an evening in the vibrant city or relax in the hotels lounge and bar areas.  

 

Day 2.
After our included breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way into the Yorkshire Dales and to the village of Esholt, best known for being the original Emmerdale village. With free time to explore this real live living village and once iconic TV setting. The Woolpack, Café Mainstreet, shop, and many more with opportunity to take photos Walk in the footsteps of your favourite characters in this beautiful former soap setting. Also Includes a morning beverage in the famous woolpack. With a choice of a Pint, glass of wine, tea, coffee or soft drink.  


Our next visit takes us to Media city on the edge of Manchester, for a spot of shopping and lunch in one off the many choices of eateries. Also, opportunity to visit the imperial war museum located next door to the studios. Early afternoon we make our way to the famous Coronation Street Tour. Step into 60 years of TV drama with a guided tour of the street and behind the scenes, set and Weatherfield. Wander down the cobbles and explore the Rovers Return, Roy’s Rolls, Street cars and Prima Doner. Explore the brand-new Exhibition and venture beyond the cobbles into the heart of the drama. Browse some of the costumes and props. Ring the Rovers Return bell and of course plenty of photo opportunity. Time here for refreshment and of course some souvenir shopping. Also included in our tour is meet a star, but who will it be. Photos can be taken here too for some wonderful memories. We depart mid-afternoon and make our way back to Lincoln enjoying some wonderful views of the Peak district enroute.
