The Grange Hotel is perfectly positioned opposite the sea front, railway station and ornamental gardens. An elegant and traditional hotel with all modern amenities. Lift, Wifi, lounges, bar and Spa.  with 4-star luxury hotel with breath taking views.

 

Day 1. Friday 18th 
We depart Lincoln, following our pickups and make our way to the wonderful Yorkshire Market town of Skipton. With time to explore the street market and take refreshment in one of the many tea shops, pubs and cafes for an early lunch. Our second stop of the day is the town of Kendal. Famous for its mint cake. We then continue to the attractive coastal retreat of Grange-over-Sands, where we arrive at the lovely Grange Hotel for a late afternoon check in. Where we spend the next 3 nights with dinner and breakfast. Free use of the hotel pool. Evening dinner included.

 

Day 2. Saturday 19th  
After a full hearty English breakfast, we head out on our optional day. We make a short stop at the picturesque town of Windermere. Followed by a visit to the lake of the same name and the largest natural lake in England. Here we arrive Bowness-on-Windermere. With some time to explore the many visitor attractions, shops and restaurants. With time for lunch before we join our boat for return guided lake cruise to Ambleside. A relaxing cruise taking in the beautiful scenery. We return to our hotel where dinner is included.  

 

Day 3. Sunday 20th    
After breakfast we take a scenic drive to Grasmere and explore the home of William Wordsworth. Dove Cottage. This traditional Lakeland cottage was the place where William Wordsworth produced the most famous and best loved of his poems. Following our visit to the cottage you have free time to explore the village with its many shops, pubs and cafes. A visit to Sarah Nelsons Gingerbread shop is a must. Victorian cook Sarah Nelson invented Grasmere Gingerbread here in1854. Today the shop is run by the third-generation owners also selling award winning rum butter as well as toffee, fudges, chocolates, conserves and much more. We return to our hotel Mid-afternoon. Offering free time to explore Grange-over-Sands. Evening dinner included.

 

Day 4. Monday 21st 
After breakfast we say farewell to this exquisite hotel and stunning part of England for our return to Lincolnshire. With a garden centre comfort and Lunch stop enroute.  

 

This trip is suitable for all ages, singles, couples and families.

 

Day 2 Optional Excursion £21 Includes Visits to Windermere, and Bowness-on-Windermere. Plus, a return relaxing and picturesque Lake cruise.
