Day 1. Christmas eve
We pick up our passengers and head to our country pub morning comfort stop before making our way to the Hampshire city of Winchester. At least two hours here so time to explore the once capital of England and hometown to King Alfred the Great. Take in some shopping therapy and of course the sights of the city, including the medieval Cathedral with its 17th century Morley Library. The Winchester Bible and Norman crypt. Or the working 18th century corn mill. With plenty of time to enjoy some lunch in one of the abundance of eateries and cafes.
We arrive Bournemouth late afternoon at the 3-star Durley Dean Hotel. Where we spend four nights with dinner and breakfast included, plus a daily variety of afternoon tea & cake. After dinner enjoy the evening with Bingo and hot chocolate.
Day 2. Christmas Day
Breakfast served with a glass of Bucks Fizz. A Full free day to explore the local area at will, not forgetting the afternoons included tea and mince pie. 4-course Christmas Dinner is served. With a visit from Santa and present. Evening entertainment to get everyone on the dance floor.
Day 3. New Years Eve
Optional sightseeing of the New Forest area, including the village of Beaulieu with its array of its traditional tea shops and local ponies. We return to the hotel in time for today’s afternoon cream tea. After dinner, bring in the New year and dance the night away with the live entertainment.
Day 4. New Years Day
Optional visit to the famous Bovingdon Tank Museum. Where the museum brings history to life, with the world’s best collection of tanks and Tiger 131, the world’s only running Tiger Tank. With over 300 huge military machines, hear about amazing experiences as you explore the nine powerful and awe-inspiring exhibitions. We return to the hotel in time for today’s afternoon tea and biscuits. After dinner complete your Turkey and Tinsel festivities with the Grand End of Year Quiz.
Day 5.
After breakfast we bid farewell and make our return journey homewards, with an enroute lunch stop at Bicester Garden centre and afternoon stop in Stamford.
