Day 1. 16th “Christmas eve”
We pick up our passengers and head to our late morning comfort stop at Markham Grange Garden Centre. With an opportunity to enjoy refreshment in the café, as well as browse the garden centre and outlets. Along with the adjoining steam museum subject to opening hours. We continue our journey e arriving Morecombe late afternoon at the seafront 2-star Auckland Hotel. Where we spend four nights.
We enjoy a Bucks Fizz Reception in the Bar before our Themed Dinner. Followed by Carols and Christmas Music.
Day 2. 17th “Christmas Day”
Breakfast and Santa followed by a full free day to explore the local area at will. Take a stroll along the award-winning promenade. Home to ITV’s The Bay, Morecambe Bay is a great place to experience amazing sunsets and natural landscapes. Visit the Eric Morecambe Statue, which looks out across the promenade, and the Tern Project, a series of public art installations inspired by the birdlife of Morecambe Bay. If you’re looking for some retail therapy then the indoor Arndale Shopping Centre is close by. Traditional Christmas Dinner followed by the evening entertainment Christmas Party – Dancing and Entertainment.
Day 3. 18th “Boxing Day”
After breakfast we take our Optional Excursion to the historical City of Lancaster, Built on the river Lune home to its hilltop medieval Kings Castle of the North, museums, many Georgian architecture buildings. Williamson Park with its hidden Folies and stunning Edwardian butterfly house. Quirky boutiques and independent galleries, or renowned high street brands in Penny Street. Relax in one of Lancasters wealth of cafes, coffee shops and restaurants. Discover a small city with a big story.
We return to the hotel mid-afternoon. Gala Candle-lit Dinner followed by Entertainment and Games.
Day 4. “New Years Day”
After breakfast A free day to enjoy the local area. Tea & Christmas cake is served this afternoon. New Year’s Eve Festive Dinner is served. Followed with the New Year’s Party Night and fancy dress with resident entertainer to see in the New Year.
Day 5.
After breakfast we bid farewell and make our return journey homewards, with an enroute lunch stop.
