Day 1.

We pick up our passenger’s early morning and head to Folkstone with a breakfast stop enroute. For our crossing on the Euro shuttle. We arrive our overnight Hotel, the Novotel in Chartres. Hotel dinner included.

 

Day 2. 

After a full continental breakfast, we continue our journey further south with comfort stops enroute, arriving our hotel and base for the next 5 nights, the 4-star Le Perigord Hotel. Nestled between majestic cliffs and the peaceful banks of the Dordogne River. Between the beautiful medieval villages of Domme and La Roque Gageac, making it an ideal location to explore the Dordogne region. Dinner included.   

 

Day 3.

We join our land train and make our guided tour through the narrow streets of the fairytale style historic hilltop medieval walled town of Domme. With some free time to explore and take some lunch in one of the local eateries. This afternoon we visit the Cave du Vin de Domme. One of the smallest vineyards in France but as important as Bergerac. Hotel dinner included.

 

Day 4.

Today we visit the river front setting of Roque Gageac, where we join our boat Gabarres Caminade for our guided river cruise. Following our cruise, you have time to explore this medieval hillside village and take lunch in one of the many restaurants or cafes. Take an optional visit to the unique hillside fort. We return our hotel mid afternoon with plenty of time to take in some sunbathing around the hotel pool and gardens. Dinner included. 

 

Day 5. 

A short scenic drive to the medieval and one of the most picturesque Cities of the Dordogne region, Sarlat-La-Caneda. The town is full of medieval buildings, museums, churches, shops, bars, squares and passageways full of restaurants. We highly recommend a visit to the Manoir de Gisson museum, a historical monument and one of the most outstanding buildings in the heart of the medieval quarter.

Look out for the famous geese statue. Hotel dinner included.

 

Day 6.

Today we visit Chateau Milandes and gardens. One of the most stunning Chateau’s in the region. And former home to famous Josephine Baker. This Chateau has been restored over recent years and is now largely dedicated the extraordinary life of Josephine. Our visit includes a full self-audio guided tour of the castle and chapel, bird of prey show, gardens, restaurant and shop. Hotel dinner included.

  

Day 7.

We leave the beautiful Dordogne region and make our way towards Amiens, with comfort stops enroute. Arriving at our overnight stop. The 4-star Kyriad Hotel. Dinner included.

 

Day 8. 

Following breakfast, we make our way to Calais where you will have time to purchase duty free before we make our afternoon Euro shuttle crossing back to Folkstone. With comfort stop enroute we return to Lincolnshire late evening.

 

Passports with a minimum 3 months valid are required on this tour.

 

Travel insurance is compulsory on this tour, We recommend purchase of this once we confirm that we have enough passengers to ensure the tour runs.
