Day 1 – Across the Humber to Scarborough

Sit back, relax and enjoy the start of a wonderful Yorkshire seaside break. Following our morning pick-ups, we depart Lincoln and travel to the Humber Bridge Garden Centre, beautifully positioned on the banks of the Humber.

There’s time to enjoy a cuppa and cake or perhaps an early lunch in the Old Tile Works Restaurant, browse the garden centre and take in the impressive views of the Humber Bridge. The site also has a fascinating heritage, sharing its location with the last surviving historical tile works of its kind in the UK.

We then cross the magnificent Humber Bridge and continue into Yorkshire, making our way to the traditional seaside resort of Scarborough.

Our home is the impressive 4-star Crown Spa Hotel, enjoying a superb cliff-top setting with wonderful views across the sea and bay. After checking in, the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

Scarborough has all the ingredients for a traditional British seaside holiday. Take a stroll beside the sandy beaches, treat yourself to fish and chips or an ice cream, browse the shops and indoor market, or simply relax and watch the world go by.

There’s plenty to discover, from traditional donkey rides and seaside arcades to open-top bus tours, cliffside gardens and walkways. Scarborough’s historic funicular railway provides an enjoyable way to travel between the cliff top and seafront, while the town’s castle provides a dramatic backdrop high above the coastline.

After an enjoyable afternoon exploring, return to the hotel where evening dinner is included.

Day 2 – Relax and Enjoy Scarborough

After a full hearty breakfast, the day is yours to enjoy more of this much-loved Yorkshire resort.

Perhaps return to the seafront, browse the shops, explore the gardens or simply find a favourite spot overlooking the bay and enjoy the wonderful coastal atmosphere.

Alternatively, make the most of your time at the Crown Spa Hotel. Free use of the hotel swimming pool is included, offering the perfect opportunity for a relaxing swim. Those looking for a little extra indulgence may also wish to book a pampering treatment at the hotel.
