Day 1. Friday 11th
We depart Lincoln, following our pickups and make our way to the Cotswolds region with a morning comfort stop enroute. Our lunch stop is taken in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Famous for its historical past and William Shakespeare connections. We spend a minimum two hours here with plenty of time to explore the town and enjoy its many choices of cafes, pubs and restaurants. We continue into the Cotswolds and arrive at the Wroxton House hotel, located in the beautiful, thatched village of Wroxton for a late afternoon check in. Where we spend the next two nights. Evening dinner included.
Day 2. Saturday 12th
After our English breakfast, our daily excursion takes us to several picturesque Cotswolds villages. Including that of, Stowe-on-Wold, Broadway and Moreton-in-Marsh. With free time at each village to explore the beautiful scenery of the Cotswolds, as well as its many independent shops and enjoy refreshment in the many cafes, tea shops and pubs. We return to our hotel where dinner is included.
Day 3. Sunday 13th
After breakfast we depart our hotel and begin our return, but not before a visit to the beautiful colourful gardens of Kiftsgate Court. Famed for its roses including the Kiftsgate scented climbing rose, and the garden creation of three generations of women gardeners since the 1920’s. The tea rooms are available for lite snacks and lunches. Following our garden visit we return to Lincolnshire, making our drop off’s enroute to Lincoln and say farewell.
This trip is suitable for all ages, singles, couples and families.
The Countryside retreat and Award winning Wroxton House Hotel is perfectly positioned next to the church of All Saints in the sleepy Cotswolds village location of Wroxton near Banbury.
Please note the hotel does not have a lift, but ground floor rooms are available. All rooms have ensuite facilities with bath and over shower. Complementary refreshment tray with homemade biscuits and mineral water.
Kifsgate Court gardens is set on several levels with some restricted mobility access to the lower gardens, although most of these can still be viewed from the upper garden areas. There are no disabled toilets on site.
